  • What makes and models does the Cat Siren fit?

    The CatSiren fits all makes and models of vehicles with catalytic converters. You can use it on your car, truck, or SUV.

  • Can the CatSiren be used on commercial vehicles?

    Yes, the CatSiren can be used to protect commercial trucks, vans, and buses.

  • What if the undercarriage of my vehicle is not made of steel and does not work with the CatSiren’s magnetic mounting system?

    The CatSiren can be mounted to any flat clean surface using the included mounting kit. Please refer to the section titled “Installing the CatSiren.”

Installing the CatSiren

  • Where should I mount the CatSiren?

    You should mount the CatSiren on the underside of your vehicle, 6-8 inches away from the catalytic converter and exhaust pipe. Make sure you attach the Cat Siren to a clean steel surface and that the magnet is attached securely.faq cat siren

  • What if the underside of my vehicle is not made from steel?

    If the underside of your vehicle is made from a material other than steel, you can use the adhesive attachment brackets. To install these brackets, follow the instructions below:

    1. Select an area on the underside of the vehicle that is 6-8 inches away from the catalytic converter
    2. Clean the area with a cloth and rubbing alcohol
    3. Wait 5 minutes for the rubbing alcohol to dry
    4. Attach the 2 mounting brackets to the magnets on the device
    5. Peel the protective film from the adhesive strips
    6. Attach the device and brackets to the designated area
    7. Press the device to the underside of the vehicle for 15 seconds so that the brackets can fully adhere

  • Why is the back cover attached with screws?

    The back cover is attached with screws to prevent catalytic converter thieves from easily disarming the device during an attempted theft.

  • Why can’t I mount the CatSiren directly on the catalytic converter?

    The Cat Siren should be mounted 6-8 inches away from the catalytic converter to prevent the device from overheating.

  • Is the Cat Siren safe to use in moist environments?

    The CatSiren is water resistant and can be used in moderate rain and snow. The CatSiren should never be submerged in water and should be not used in abnormally inclement weather.

Charging the Catsiren

  • Where is the charging port located?

    The USB-C charging port is located on the underside of the CatSiren. To charge the device, remove the small oval cover with a phillips head screwdriver.

  • How long does the battery last between charges?

    The battery can last up to three months between charges, however, the exact time depends on the usage of the device and on various environmental factors.

  • How do I know when to recharge the CatSiren?

    When the CatSiren is low on battery, you will hear intermittent chirps coming from the device. Simply remove the CatSiren from the vehicle, remove the oval back cover, and charge the CatSiren with the included USB-C cable.

  • What is the purpose of the LED light beneath the back cover?

    When the CatSiren is plugged in and charging, the LED light will turn red. Once the charging is complete, the LED light will turn off.
