Our Story

The CatSiren was invented in Sacramento, California at the height of the catalytic converter theft epidemic. The CatSiren team spent months reading about the growing crisis and wanted to develop a device to help normal people avoid the devastating expenses associated with catalytic converter theft.

After two close friends had their catalytic converters stolen from a 2007 Toyota Prius and a 1998 Toyota 4Runner, the CatSiren team went to the drawing board. We wanted a device that could fit any vehicle, was easy to install, and was also relatively inexpensive. All of the other products on the market at that time were priced over $100 and many of them required professional installation.

Our solution is beautifully simple. It costs less than a tank of gas, can be installed in 30 seconds, and is designed to fit literally any vehicle on the market from the smallest compact car to a full-sized bus. It’s also environmentally responsible and can be recharged with a common USB-C cable, which is included in the package.
